in Munich on the Streetlife Festival, September 2005

The Barefoot Park at the "Siegestor" (Victory Gate) was a very succesful activity on the largest town festival in the city of Munich. In Germany, foot sensation always finds lot of interest, and this event was intended to promote the joy of going barefoot as well as the perception for renewable energy with all senses.

As an ideal addition to the barefoot path, palpation stations allowed to touch the raw materials for regenerative energy with the hands. Visitors enjoyed, when rapeseeds or wood pellets slid though their fingers, and they read the short esplanations on the describing boards.

Thus a relaxing barefoot walk on various materials passed the feeling stations and the information desk. Many visitors were interested in picking up information about investment in sustainable energy production.

Thousands of visitors enjoyed the barefoot and sensory experience and moreover developped a new feeling for renewable energy.
